Chinese Ambassador Hu Shan Is Invited to Dinner at the Residence of Bahamian President of the Senate

On December 5, 2011, Chinese Ambassador to The Bahamas and his wife Madame Liu Ping were invited to dinner at the Residence of Hon. Lynn Holowesko, President of the Senate of The Bahamas.

They had a pleasant conversation at the dinner. President Holowesko spoke highly of the development of the bilateral relations between the two countries over the years and happily recalled the unforgettable experience during her visit to China, in particular the Expo Shanghai 2010. She said the increasingly growing friendly relationship as well as people-to-people and cultural exchange will exert a positive impact on both countries and the two peoples.

Ambassador Hu briefly introduced the progress of the projects constructed by Chinese companies in The Bahamas, saying there is great potential for bilateral cooperation in aviation, tourism, renewable energy, research of traditional Chinese medicine and application of its technology between the two countries. He expressed hope that China and The Bahamas will continuously strengthen communication and exchange, deepen economic and trade cooperation, adopt green and clean energy, aiming at better benefitting the two peoples and their future generations.
