Ambassador Hu Shan Meets with Mr Sarkis Izmirlian and his Top Managing staff of the Baha Mar Ltd. at his Residence

On November 17 2011, Chinese Ambassador Hu Shan met with Mr. Sarkis Izmirlian, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of the Baha Mar Ltd. and his top managing staff Mr. Don Robinson, President, Mr. Tom Dunlap, Executive Vice President and Mr. Robert Sands, Senior Vice President, at his Residence. Counsellor Zhai Xingfu, First Secretary Wang Quanhuo of the Embassy as well as Mr Tiger Wu, Executive Vice President of China Construction America Inc. were present at the meeting.

Baha Mar Ltd. is the developer of the mega-resort project on Cable Beach in northwestern New Providence of The Bahamas. The company gets for the Project a commercial loan of 2.45 billion US dollar from the Export-Import Bank of China and a 150 million US dollars investment from China State Construction Engineering Corporation Limited, the general contractor of the Project .

Ambassador Hu exchanged views in depth with his guests on related issues of the Project, such as how to make the Project a success through thorough communication and close cooperation between the Baha Mar Ltd, the Export-Import Bank of China and China Construction America and good use of Chinese loan in the process of construction in the forthcoming 3 years, and how to effectively managed the Resort after its completion.

Mr. Izmirlian agreed with Ambassador Hu on his construction and management concept of ensuring successful advancement of the project through thorough communication, and make good profits through specialties of the Resort. He said the Baha Mar Ltd is willing to strengthen communication and cooperation with relevant Chinese partners to ensure the success of the Project, and to make good profits through effective management and pay off the loan of the Project as soon as possible.
