Ambassador Huang Qinguo Handed Over COVID-19 Medical Supplies to The Bahamas

On behalf of the Chinese government, H.E. Ambassador Huang Qinguo handed over a batch of COVID-19 medical supplies to The Bahamas on April 28. A handover certificate was signed at the Chinese Embassy between Ambassador Huang Qinguo and Mr. Audley G. Bain, Deputy Director of Supplies Management Agency of Public Hospital Authority, Ministry of Health of The Bahamas.

Ambassador Huang said that as COVID-19 is the common enemy of all mankind, solidarity and cooperation are the most powerful weapon for the international community to defeat the pandemic. China stands ready to support the Bahamas and provide assistance within its capacity.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Ministry of Health of The Bahamas expressed their gratitude to the Chinese government for its precious assistance and strong support.

The supplies arrived at Nassau International Airport in the afternoon of April 24. This has been the third time that China has ever provided medical assistance to the Bahamas to support its fight against the COVID-19 pandemic.
