The Chinese Embassy in The Bahamas Held Reception Celebrating the 68th Anniversary of the Founding of the People's Republic of China

On 25 September 2017, Ambassador of China to The Bahamas Mr. Huang Qinguo and his wife Madame Zheng Chuncao held a reception celebrating the 68th anniversary of the founding of the People's Republic of China. The Honourable Brent Symonette, Minister of Financial Services, trade and Industry and Immigration, the Honourable Renward Wells, Minister of Agriculture, Marine Resources, the Honourable Darren Henfield, Minister of Foreign Affairs, the Honourable Halson Moultrie, Speaker of the House of Assembly, together with over 200 diplomats, local Chinese, employees of Chinese enterprises, and other Bahamian friends attended the reception.

Ambassador Huang introduced to the guests China’s newest developments in economic and social areas, China’s contribution to global governance and the bilateral relationship between China and The Bahamas. Ambassador Huang said that China is committed to working with The Bahamas to enrich the friendly cooperation of the two countries and to write a new chapter of the bilateral relations.

The Honourable Darren Henfield spoke highly of China’s recent achievements in national development and China’s positive influence in South-South Cooperation, and expects a to brighter future of China- Bahamas friendship.
